The history of ROW

Ralf Schulz, former drummer of Tyran'Pace and Sinner was in vacation in December 2004 , exactly at the time when the tsunami hit Thailand. Due to the shocking situation, but also because of the poeple's support, he decided to pay tribute. So the idea to organize a rock concert arose and to donate the income to the victims of the tsunami. At that time, the entire focus of the press was on Asia. And we wanted to continue the incredible donations, which came especially from Germany - even without striking occasion. It was not meant to be a one-time event due to the tsunami. We believe that the great solidarity with people in need goes on. Therefore we called the event "Rock For One World". We are overwhelmed by the support of the many helpers who realize this festival every year.
